I'll let the pictures speak ... for so many great things happened in this place, and I am finding it hard to even write anything close to the awesomeness of the experience of being here... even the silent traces of the pen upon paper is too noisy for the glorious silence of a heart full of blessings...
candles even for the penniless
with malou, cecilia and lyza
view from the basilica steps
reminiscent of the apparition tree
tombs of lucia and jacinta
fatima rosaries 2 Comments
bright sun shining upon the square
walking on my knees alonthe pilgrim path
tree on the way to the angel's site
souvenir in the neighborhood
still walking on my knees
chapel of our lady of sorrows
burning candles for prayers
night view of the basilica
after praying the intercessions... happy
walking the astreets of fatima
the hotel right outside the shrine
sun shining upon the pilgrim way

 | I'll let the pictures speak ... for so many great things happened in this place, and I am finding it hard to even write anything close to the awesomeness of the experience of being here... even the silent traces of the pen upon paper is too noisy for the glorious silence of a heart full of blessings... I visited Fatima years ago .... I was younger back then and didn't understand things the way I do now .. but it really touched my life, I asw the pilgrims walking on their knees .. I visited all the places you show in your photos , we had a priest with us ,,, so they let us use one of the small churches they have for a mass, I really wish I could visit it again, oh and I rememebr sthing .. my grandma was with us (her purpose of the visit was that she wanted to pray for my mom to have another child beside me, coz she was facing some health troubles in that) , and during the trip she had a vision of mother mary giving a baby to my mom , and a couple of months later after we returned to Jordan, my mom got pregnant with my sister without any medical treatment even the doctor was surprised coz he knew it was impossible .. my parents called my sister Hiba ( means in arabic .. a heavenly gift). Thank you for posting these photos .. they reminded me of a great time :-) |
